Version 0.1 — Private-use development and testing
PTAP — Personal Tax Automation Project — is a personal software project operated by David Cleary in Australia and presented under the Weaponised ADHD project name.
Privacy contact: david@clearyspec.com
PTAP is currently being developed and tested for private use. It is not accepting public registrations or operating as a service for customers. This policy covers the project website and the handling of information during authorised private development, testing and use.
Depending on the records selected and the connections authorised, PTAP may handle receipt and invoice files, extracted document text, supplier and recipient details, invoice references, dates, amounts, currencies, payment information and document identifiers.
The project may also handle QuickBooks company and transaction information, account references, existing attachment details, processing results and diagnostic information.
Documents may contain information about other people, including family members, suppliers or other parties. Only information the operator is authorised to access and use should be included.
PTAP uses connection credentials, including OAuth access and refresh tokens. It does not require the operator to place a QuickBooks account password in the application.
If you contact the project by email, your email address, message and any information you choose to provide will be used to respond to your enquiry. Please do not send passwords, access tokens or unnecessary financial documents.
Receipt capture and extraction are provided by Tailride through the sources configured by the account holder. PTAP’s current custom code does not independently scan email inboxes. It works with selected exported information, Google Drive files and authorised QuickBooks API access.
Information is used to develop and test the integration, identify possible receipt-to-transaction matches, retrieve supporting documents, check attachment status and investigate errors.
The intended accounting action is limited to attaching evidence to an existing QuickBooks transaction. PTAP is not intended to create duplicate Expenses, Bills or Journals, change accounting classifications or decide whether an expense is deductible. Live-company processing requires separate authorisation and controlled testing.
PTAP information is not sold, rented or used by the operator for targeted advertising or unrelated profiling.
Google provides the website hosting through Google Sites, document storage through Google Drive, spreadsheets through Google Sheets and execution of the integration through Google Apps Script.
Tailride provides document capture, extraction and export. Intuit provides QuickBooks Online, including its accounting records, attachments and authorised API access.
Each provider also handles information under its applicable terms, privacy policies and account settings. This policy does not replace those provider policies.
The current Google Site is an information website, not a receipt-upload portal or a public interface to the integration. Visiting it does not connect your financial accounts or grant access to your documents.
Tailride provides AI-assisted document extraction.
Separately, the operator uses OpenAI’s ChatGPT to assist with PTAP development and troubleshooting. Selected screenshots, documents, code or diagnostic information may be supplied directly or accessed through connections the operator authorises for that work.
This development assistance is separate from the running Apps Script integration. The current Apps Script code does not automatically send receipt or QuickBooks data to ChatGPT.
Information shared for development must be limited to what is needed and what the operator is authorised to disclose. Its handling is subject to the development service’s terms and the relevant account settings.
Source documents and exported data are held in the configured Google and Tailride accounts. Accounting records and uploaded evidence are held in QuickBooks. Development material may also be retained in the tools used to support the build.
Connection credentials are stored separately from receipt spreadsheets in the script’s configuration. Access to files, scripts and configuration depends on the permissions of the relevant accounts. Credentials and private financial records must not be published on this website.
The project uses providers that may process information outside Australia. Potential processing locations include the United States and European countries such as Germany, Sweden and Ireland, depending on the provider and service. An Australia-only processing arrangement has not been established.
Security, recovery and operational controls remain under validation during the private testing phase. No system can guarantee absolute security.
There is currently no automated PTAP retention or deletion schedule. Records are retained until the operator reviews and removes them, taking account of their purpose, relevant record-keeping obligations and any outstanding support or privacy request.
Disconnecting an integration stops access through that connection, but does not itself erase documents, spreadsheets, historical logs or attachments already stored. Copies must be reviewed and managed separately in the services that hold them.
PTAP does not automatically delete QuickBooks accounting records. A request concerning information in QuickBooks will be reviewed separately rather than triggering an automatic change to those records.
Provider backups and provider-controlled records may have separate retention and deletion arrangements.
Contact david@clearyspec.com to ask about personal information held within the project, request access or correction, request deletion, or raise a privacy concern.
The operator will review the request, verify identity or authority where necessary, and explain the action taken or any reason the request cannot be fulfilled. Requests affecting records in a third-party service may require action through that provider.
Please identify the relevant document or issue without including unnecessary sensitive information.
Google may process technical information associated with use of Google Sites, including browser, device, connection and cookie information, under its applicable policies.
The initial PTAP website is intended to contain information and contact details only. Public registration, financial-document uploads and marketing data collection are outside its current scope.
This policy will be reviewed when the project’s information handling changes. Public availability, additional integrations or materially different uses of information require a further review before introduction.
An updated version will be published on this page.
